Peete Elementary - Tyler, Texas

The campus site development design for Peete Elementary School (Tyler Independent School District) provides a pleasant and safe environment for students, parents, and teachers. The courtyard development for Peete was guided by a desire for a large open area for classroom activities and special programs organized by the school.

This was accomplished by having a large four sided theater for outdoor classroom activities and special programs. Also, a large area for special gatherings of parents, teachers, and students was designed. This area was accented by the use of geometric shapes using brick pavers. A large outdoor lunch area for the students' and teachers' use is found adjacent to the large meeting area. Benches and tables located throughout the courtyard provide locations where students and teachers can enjoy the atmosphere of the courtyard.
