The closure of an inter-campus street over the lower lake dam provided an opportunity to create a pedestrian promenade that gives students access to the entire campus by foot or bicycle. While strolling on the landscaped promenade, the students have a beautiful view of the lake as well as the wooded areas located down stream of the lake.

With the promenade being well illuminated with pedestrian lights along the curves, the students can stroll the promenade in cool of the evening or sit on the grassy slopes.

The promenade was also designed to permit campus maintenance vehicles access when necessary to provide service to the area and the campus.
